Green Festival Speakers
Peter Glatzer is an independent film producer with six ﬁlms to his credit, including the Sundance hit THE GRAVE and the Tim Roth/Renee Zellweger thriller DECEIVER. He’s made films and created television shows for HBO, Miramax, Fox, MGM and Discovery. As an independent producer he is hands-on, guiding his projects from early development through marketing and sales.
Prior to producing, he was the executive director of The Hamptons Film Festival and the creator of the IFP Gotham Awards.
In 2009 he created and produced the TV show ALTER ECO with Adrian Grenier for Discovery’s Planet Green. Together with Grenier, Glatzer founded the digital media platform SHFT.COM, with a mission to nudge sustainable ideas and designs into pop culture through design, film, art and food. SHFT looks at environmentalism through a different lens, and strives to find creative, inspiring, market-driven solutions to climate change. The brand has attracted a dedicated audience, an arsenal of original and aggregated content, and a growing list of corporate partnerships including: the Ford Motor Company, AOL/Huffington Post, Virgin America, Stonyfield Farm, and Estée Lauder. Its board members include: Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, and Bill Ford. In its second year, SHFT won two Webby Awards for best website in its category, and a plethora of positive press.
