NYC Wastematch is a free service, created and funded by the NYC Department of Sanitation, which facilitates the exchange of used and surplus goods and equipment from organizations that no longer need them to other entities that do. NYC WasteMatch keeps valuable resources out of the waste stream while offering clients an opportunity to save money and lower their environmental impact. Our clients include New York City businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

Founded by Bette Midler in 1995, New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming open space in under-resourced communities to create a greener, more sustainable New York City. Unlike traditional conservancies that care for a specific place, NYRP is the only New York City conservancy that works citywide, bringing private resources to spaces that lack adequate municipal support.

NYC Beekeeping nycbeekeeping

NYC Beekeeping is an all-volunteer conservation and education group for beekeepers and beelovers. We organize a free course in beekeeping, expert and peer mentoring, and community service & outreach activities throughout the year. We work with urban farms, community gardens, the NYC Parks Dept., schools and other organizations to foster a strong community of responsible urban beekeepers, to bring training & economic opportunity through beekeeping to underserved areas, to conserve and protect honeybees and other pollinators, and to contribute to the program and fundraising capacities of selected 501(c)(3) organizations.

NY/NJ Baykeeper is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to protect, preserve, and restore the Hudson-Raritan Estuary. Since 1989, Baykeeper has served as the citizen advocate for the bays, streams and shores of the Hudson-Raritan Estuary -- stopping polluters, championing public access, influencing land use decisions, educating the public and preserving and restoring habitat. Baykeeper works to pursue a healthy Hudson-Raritan Estuary through our three core programs: the Conservation Program, Oyster Restoration Program and Clean Water Campaign.
