Green Festival Speakers
Nancy J. Meyer is a visionary leader in the ongoing development and expansion of one of Maryland’s most prominent green business. She is a seasoned social justice organizer, scholar and environmentalist. With almost thirty years of experience, she demonstrates how to take good ideas and translate them into action. Nancy is an independent scholar whose work focuses on participatory action, political analysis and the dynamics of social change.
She has held management positions in local organizations: D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Whitman Walker Clinic; Calvary Women’s Shelter; ECO Recycling Center at University of Maryland and has been a non-profit consultant. She has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Maryland; Studio Arts and Individual Studies and extensive graduate work in American Studies and Education with a focus on social justice.
