Chef McCloud has worked in several of the finest restaurants, hotels, and catering venues along the east coast and his home town of Michigan. His career began as Saucier at the world renowned, AAA-Five Diamond Award winning, Victoria & Albert's. He later relocated to the DC area to open the critically acclaimed Aster as Chef de Cuisine. Aster earned top marks during Aaron's tenure and was regarded as one of the finest restaurants in the DC area. Next, McCloud began building the multi-concept, Vintage Restaurant Group which enjoyed great success during his years. After a season as Exec. Chef at The Inn at Perry Cabin, Chef McCloud returned to DC to lead the kitchen at Cedar. After many years of experience dedicated to the most sustainable and seasonal cuisine, he was a perfect fit for Cedar. His style is very seasonally focused with a bit whimsical, stylish and greatly American.
