Veronica Barrera

Barrera is currently teaching at the University of Washington and Seattle University, and holds advanced degrees in Communications and Women Studies. Barrera has been teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level for the past ten years, ranging from race, class and gender to international economic development and human rights. Barrera film work spotlight human rights conflicts and the struggle for social justice. Barrera also holds a Master's in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College where she focused on educational justice and the intersection of race, class and gender. Barrera is a member of the Comision Funa in Chile a memory organization working to bring to justice human rights violators living in impunity in Chile.
