The San Francisco Green Festival Expo Launch Party took place downtown at Capital One Café on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Capital One Café was the perfect location offering a modern setting with drinks and vegan and vegetarian hors d'oeuvres provided by the San Francisco Green Festival exhibitors, sponsors and Capital One Café. Capital One gives back to the San Francisco Bay Area Community by providing a free networking space to learn, grow and collaborate. Special thank you goes to host Akeel Bernard, Chief Retail Banking Manager at Capital One. Guests included local business owners, media representatives, and community members who all share the important commitment of bringing sustainability to the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Guests were greeted and welcomed by Tamara Diamond, SF Regional Director, and Dr. Corinna Basler, President of Green Festivals. Exhibitors and Sponsors tabling at the event included Thanksgiving Coffee, Lotus Foods, Imperfect Produce and San Francisco Sustainable Fashion Week International. Beverages were served including samples from our Sponsors Fetzer Vineyards and LaCroix. Fetzer Vineyard’s Wines and LaCroix will both be available for sampling throughout the weekend at the Green Festival November 11-13th at Pier 35.
Dr. Corinna Basler spoke of the upcoming event in San Francisco and thanked the Bay Area Community for their support throughout the past 15 years! Corinna Basler highlighted the Green Festival Saves Lives Campaign with Wonder Dog Rescue and The Milo Foundation sponsored by Petcurean and The Gentle Barn. The event will also highlight major films that are making a breakthrough the sustainable world such as Love Thy Nature, Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret, and Speciesim: The Movie. A new addition this year will be a fun and educational Fashion Pavilion with presentations from leading green designers and experts. The Fashion Show is sponsored by local San Francisco Sustainable Fashion Week International led by Sandra Hanns.

Celebrating 15 years, the San Francisco Green Festival will have over 100 presenters over the 3-day weekend, 200+ exhibitors and a brand new Sustainable Innovations Pavilion hosting talks on responsible tourism, conservation stewardship and the environmental future. There will be a local food court with vegan and vegetarian options and samples from Fetzer Winery.
The San Francisco Launch Party received wonderful green items from Go Raw, Spirituality and Health, Earthjustice, Bank Purely, Regrained, Nutiva, Eco Teas, Bioceutical Formulations, Karma Nuts, Live A Lot, PrAna and Integral Yoga Institute which were included in the overflowing gift bags that provided a taste of what is to come at the Green Festival Expo on November 11, 12 and 13th at Pier 35. Those who take public transportation will receive $5 off their ticket price at the door all 3 days of the expo. In addition, cyclists will receive free admission when they ride their bike and park at the bike valet sponsored by Stromer. Admission for students will be free on Friday with student ID and $5 off the door ticket price Saturday and Sunday.
