Founded in 1954, Savers, Inc. is a privately held thrift store chain that operates nearly 300 stores across the United States, Canada and Australia.

For nearly 60 years, Savers has been in the business of connecting communities and building a bridge between donors with surplus goods and shoppers who can give those goods another life instead of one in a landfill.

Here’s how the Savers Cycle works:

• Ultimate Thrift Experience: The more the merrier is a reality at Savers. Store shelves are filled with tens of thousands of unique treasures and quality everyday items – all inside a department-store-like environment that’s easy to shop and easy on the wallet. Merchandise is neatly organized into specific departments, with labeled shelves and racks that make it easy to find bargains for brand name apparel, authentic vintage finds, housewares, furniture, collectibles and much more. Each Savers store stocks more than 10,000 fresh items every day, and that’s in addition to the 100,000 items already in store. There really is something for everyone!

• Donate and Make a Difference: Savers believes that goods repurposed within local

communities benefit local communities. That’s why the goods Savers provides in its stores are always tied to local nonprofit organizations. Every Savers store supports one or more nonprofits in its community, and pays its partners

for every donation of clothing, housewares, furniture and more. These partnerships turn otherwise unused goods into sustainable revenue that supports nonprofits’ vital community programs and services. Over the past 10 years, Savers has paid its collective nonprofit partners more than $1.5 billion which helps fund their important work.

• Green from the Start: Since its founding, Savers has focused on giving communities’ gently used goods a second chance. In fact, Savers is one of the largest recyclers of used clothing in the world – repurposing more than 600 million pounds of goods each year. Items not suitable for store shelves are shipped to developing countries for resale and to domestic material wholesalers to be recycled into new materials such as mixed rags, car insulation and much more.

Have you considered thrift?

Today thrift has entered the mainstream and is one of the fastest growing retail segments, attracting families on a budget to six-figure professionals looking for the best selection, bargains and value for their money.

Savers stands out with its inviting stores, but also because

of its unique retail model. Similar to eBay® and Craigslist, Savers primarily offers secondhand goods and like Tom’s®, its business approach is centered on providing a societal benefit. By purchasing and reselling gently used merchandise, Savers provides essential

funding to more than 140 nonprofit organizations; low-cost and high quality goods to consumers; and benefits to the environment through the reuse and recycling of used items.

Halloween Headquarters

Watch out Christmas, Halloween is nipping at your toes as one of the most celebrated holidays! And Savers is the Halloween destination with the largest selection of both new sought-after costumes and accessories and gently used ones– from new wigs and fairy wings to pre-loved 80’s prom dresses, Savers truly has it all – and at scary low prices.

Holiday Sweater Party?

We’ve got you covered. Kudos to you for donating that holiday sweater or tie back in 1989 when it went out of style. If you plan to host a now-trendy “tacky holiday sweater” themed party this winter, come over to Savers. During the Holiday Season,

Savers stores have racks of the silliest holiday sweaters to choose from.

Thrift is Chic...and Green!

Bargain hunters, vintage lovers and fashionistas all have one thing in common – Savers! Shopping thrift is a great option for those who love to express their personal style with unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, as well as those who want the best-known brands without paying the price. Also, consumers now more than ever view secondhand shopping as a form of recycling – it’s one of the easiest ways to “go green.”

Big Back to School Savings

Why buy brand new clothes at the rate kids will wear them out? Savers is the ultimate shopping destination for kid-approved shoes, clothing and other must-have items.

A family who shops at Savers for back-to-school can:

•Save 71% when compared to a discount retailer

• Save 91% when compared to an upscale retailer

• Expect to spend about $90 on a full wardrobe for one child
